Regent Dr. John Olmsted, Greensboro, NC (left) and Vice Regent Dr. Bill Bennett, Williamsburg, Virginia (right) have been coordinating ICD activities for the 16th District for the past three years. Deputy Regent Dr Bettie McKaig, Raleigh, NC; Deputy Regent Dr. Dale Finkbine, Summerville, SC; and Deputy Regent Dr. Michael Link, Newport News, Virginia; are each responsible for the ICD activities in their respective states. DR. TED ROBERTSON to be installed as new ICD President 2010! Dr. Ted Robertson, Chapel Hill, NC, will be installed as President of the USA Section of the International College of Dentists during the ADA Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii on Friday, October 2, 2009. Ted has served NC as Deputy Regent; NC ,SC and VA as Regent; USA Section ICD as Vice President; and is currently serving as President Elect. Dr. Roberson taught 38 years in the UNC Department of Operative Dentistry, serving as Professor and Chairperson. He was Director of Student Affairs, Director of Admissions, and is Senior Editor and Principal Author, Sturdivant’s Art and Science of Operative Dentistry. 4th and 5th Editions. Ted has earned 12 Faculty Appreciation Awards,2 Richard Hunt Excellence in Teaching Awards, and has presented over 200 lectures in NC, USA, Central America, South America, and Europe. He currently serves as Executive Director of the UNC Dental Alumni Association. Ted and his wife, Brenda, have 3 daughters, Kimberly, Tiffany, Tara; one son, Deuce; and nine 1⁄2 grandchildren ages 3-11.
