USA Section Projects Committee
The committee is in the process of reviewing potential projects for the coming year. The USA Section is continuing its initiative on Leadership and the Projects Committee can reflect this initiative by supporting not only International but Domestic projects as well. The Kikuyu project is a wonderful example of how we can help support our mission, which is to "Advance the Art and Science of Dentistry for the Health and Welfare of the Public". We are also charged to encourage and support projects of a humanitarian nature. more »

The Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program
The rationale for this program is to provide a means for the fellows of the U.S.A. Section of lCD to personally participate in an humanitarian project that will enable the U.S.A. Section to be identified as an international leader in dental health education. There are millions of people in the world in emerging! developing countries who do not have access to dental care. Pain, infection and dysfunction are an unfortunate way of life due to the unintended consequences of not having access to adequate dental care and preventive measures. more »
