International Student Exchange Project
Program Objectives
This project was initiated in 1990 to improve and increase international relations at the student level by providing a professional and cultural exchange between dental schools in the USA and in other countries. The objective is to experience and study dental education and dental delivery systems to better appreciate the dental culture internationally. The program provides an excellent opportunity for a USA junior dental student to travel and spend three weeks in a pre-selected foreign dental teaching facility. A student from the foreign dental school would then return the visit to the USA. This has been a very popular project. Additional opportunities are available.

Some recent ISEP photos -- 2009 French students
These are the French exchange students class of 2009 visiting the Univ. of Georgia and the Univ. of Alabama. Photos 1-4 were taken during District 5's 4th annual dinner for Student Exchange Program at Atmosphere Restuarant in Atlanta, GA. Photos 5-9 were taken at Lake Burton, GA. The day at Lake Burton was hosted by ICD member, Dr. Jane Puskas and Deputy Regent, Dr. Bruce Ashendorf.
