ITEM 2: SAMPLE CANDIDATE SPONSOR LETTER
It is with great honor that I recommend Dr. _____________ as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. I have known _______ for over 5 years and worked very closely with him when he was the Chair of the Illinois State Dental Society Membership Committee. He also served in all of the positions within the Rock Island District Dental Society, culminating with the presidency in 2007. In addition, ____________ served on the DENT-IL PAC board of directors and as a delegate to the ISDS House of Delegates. Since 2015 he has been the Vice-Speaker of the House. ______________ demonstrated strong leadership as well dedication to organized dentistry throughout his entire yet brief career so far.
Besides his professional involvements, ___________ gives back to his community by serving on the Oral Health Advisory Board, which conducts Give Kids a Smile Program in the Illinois and Iowa Quad Cities and surrounding areas. He is also quite involved in the Boy Scouts of America in the Iowa Council, Pack 256, serving as a WEBELOS Cub Scout Den Leader, a Pack Trainer and Executive Committee member, and a Dentistry Merit Badge Councilor since 2005. _____________ devotes significant time to Trinity Lutheran Church, serving on the Memorial Committee and the Nominating Committee.
