When my family business was dissolved, we had a large parcel of land with concrete and weeds. The iMIS Foundation worked closely with us to re-zone the area as a wildlife habitat. Their experts designed a songbird habitat that incorporated native vegetation. Our group of volunteers transformed this former eyesore into a beautiful park that has become the center of the community and is filled with beautiful songs every day. Haley Palmer
My class hosted a Fun for the Planet fair at our school and we raised 282.45 for the iMIS Foundation to move a family of Arctic Foxes from a forest fire.
Our neighborhood group became a suburban wildlife watch group for our area. We monitor local habitats for warning signs of stress. This project has become a wonderful community building exercise, as well as helping out local wildlife!
