Our Board of Regents, after much discussion and deliberation, made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person events for 2021. Earlier this year, with COVID infections waning, we were looking forward to gathering for our business meetings and welcoming our New Fellows at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada just prior to the ADA SmileCon meeting. However, in the past several weeks the situation has changed. We now know that the Delta variant can sicken even fully vaccinated individuals, and with this in mind, the majority of the Board felt the risks were just too great to gather in person in Las Vegas. We hope that you understand what a difficult, gut-wrenching decision this was.
We will be offering a virtual Fellowship Orientation Program (FOP) and Convocation at a reduced induction fee of $350 to Candidates. They will be receiving notification about this offer in the next couple of days from the USA Section Office.
All ICD "Welcome to ICD Party" fees will be automatically refunded over the next couple weeks.
