Our Volunteer Seminars are coordinated by the Humanitarian Liaison Committee (HLC) and held throughout the United States at various Dental Meetings. These seminars are designed for all dental team members who have always wanted to be involved in international or local dental volunteering but were unsure of where to start.

OPERATION STAND DOWN



In 2012 Dr. Fridh helped launch Operation Stand Down. This program was designed to offer veterans a free dental examination and free or reduced follow-up services. Dr. Fridh encourages dentists to offer this program in their areas.

STUDENT EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

The program provides an excellent opportunity for USA junior dental students to travel and spend three weeks in a pre-selected foreign dental teaching facility. A student from the foreign dental school would then return the visit to the USA. This has been a very popular project.

EVERYONE FOR VETERANS (E4V)



In 2008, Dr. Theresa Cheng, inspired by the story of a local Iraq veteran, gravely injured by an IED, decided to provide free dental care to the spouses or moms who are caring for our Heroes. She quickly found out that most of our veterans do not get dental care from the VA and founded E4V.

PEACE CORPS PROGRAM



Many USA Section Fellows are providing a free dental examination and Panorex x-rays with bitewings for Peace Corps applicants if called upon. The dentists are not compensated for their time, equipment or supplies.
