DR. ARNOLD S. JACOBSON RECEIVES
THE GOLD MEDAL AWARD





Dr. Arnold S. Jacobson, St. Louis dentist, receives Gold Medal Award 
In Recognition and Appreciation of His Service to the Profession of Dentistry 
  

For Immediate Release: February 4, 2020 - St. Louis - Greater St. Louis Dental Society member, Dr. Arnold S. Jacobson received the Dental Society’s Gold Medal Award at the Society’s Annual Installation of Officers and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at The Legends Country Club, Eureka, Missouri. 

Dr. Arnold S. Jacobson was born and raised in St. Louis. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri and earned his DMD degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1976. He has an MSPH from the University of Missouri Columbia. He maintains a staff appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology of Washington University School of Medicine. 

Dr. Jacobson has provided dental care to underserved populations for his entire career and serves as Attending 
Dentist for numerous extended care facilities and nursing homes in the St. Louis area. Dr. Jacobson is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He is a past president of the Washington University Dental Alumni Association and the Missouri-Illinois Dental Study Club. He is on the attending medical staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital in the Department of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American Society of Dentistry for Children. He is currently serving as the Regent of District 6 of the ICD. Dr. Jacobson has served our veterans through the Dental Lifeline Network, providing care in his office at no charge. He is active in his community as well, and has served on the Webster Groves Health and Environmental Commission since 1986. 
Dr. Jacobson and his wife, Joan, greatly enjoy visiting with their grown children and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and is a lifelong basketball fan and season ticket holder for the St. Louis University Billikens.
